House Concert featuring To-Ree-Nee Wolf Keiser at the Pima County/Tucson Women’s Commission building at 240 N. Court on Saturday, September 24 at 7:00.
The Pima County Tucson Women’s Commission is happy to announce that To-Ree-Nee Wolf Keiser will be the featured artist at the September’s Women’s House Concert Series. To-Ree-Nee has graced Tucson’s art scene for more than twenty-five years. Known primarily here in Tucson as a visual artist, To-Ree-Nee is also a gifted singer-songwriter and guitarist. And while her career as a painter and artist/educator has kept her very busy, over the years she has opened for John Gorka, Larry Coryell, Tom Paxton, Paul Geremia, Jennie Bryson, Dave VanRonk, Brownie McGee & Sonny Terry. Influenced by her deep love of Jazz, Contemporary Folk and Brazilian music, To-Ree-Nee’s style reflects this in her open chord structures, vocal interpretations and percussive overtones. Come and enjoy this rare performance by one of Tucson’s own Renaissance Women.
The Pima County/Tucson Women’s Commission has been advocating for equality for women since 1976. The monthly Women’s House Concert Series is held every last Saturday of the month. The first half of the evening will feature a local or touring woman performing artist followed by an intermission and a women’s song circle until 10 pm (so please bring your songs and acoustic instruments.) Players of all abilities are welcome! Audiences of all genders and ages are most welcome!
Suggested minimum Donation $5. All proceeds go to the featured artist and Pima County/Tucson Women’s Commission. We encourage purchases of the artist’s CDs with all proceeds to artist.
